Thread specification should match the mating interface, while hole diameter should match the panel or enclosure entry dimension. Clamping range should align with the cable outer diameter to achieve the intended mechanical hold and sealing compression.

Material choice is typically based on mechanical requirements and the installation environment. Brass nickel-plated and stainless steel are commonly chosen for metal-body applications, while PA nylon is used where non-metal housing requirements apply, subject to project specifications.

M-series compatibility is required when the installation uses M-series circular connector interfaces. Matching the M-series standard supports correct mating geometry and mechanical fit in applications such as sensors, actuators, and industrial equipment wiring using M-series connectors.
